Company records suggest that guitars were popular in the Philippines—a key export market at the time—but there’s no definitive reason why Teranishi chose to link its inks to the instrument.

For over a century, both Teranishi and its Guitar Brand have stood the test of time, surviving the optimism of the Taisho period, the hardships of war, and Japan’s rise as a global economic and cultural force. First introduced in 2021, these inks pay tribute to a pivotal era in Japanese history, reflecting the bold, expressive styles of Taisho Roman Japan. Each color captures the vibrancy and elegance of the period, bringing a touch of vintage charm to modern writing.
